Little Cityzens Youth Program

Our Little Cityzens Program is designed specifically for players ages 3–10, providing a fun, supportive, and engaging introduction to soccer. Our goal is simple: build confidence, develop fundamental skills, and create a lifelong love for the game.

Whether your child is looking to sharpen their skills, or stepping onto the field for the first time, Little Cityzens offers the perfect environment to learn, grow, and have fun.

Fun-First Learning Environment: We prioritize enjoyment and engagement, helping players feel confident and excited every time they step on the field.
Professional Coaching & Oversight: Every Little Cityzens program is managed by our experienced City SC coaching staff.
Age-Appropriate Development: Our curriculum is designed specifically for young beginners, focusing on fundamental skills through games and activities.
Maximum Ball Contact: Players spend more time with the ball at their feet, accelerating development and building confidence.
Game-Based Approach: Every session includes small-sided games where players can apply what they’ve learned in real game situations.

Session Structure

Each 60-minute session is designed to balance learning and play:

  • 30 Minutes – Skills Training
    Players work on core techniques like dribbling, passing, and shooting through fun, high-energy activities
  • 30 Minutes – Small-Sided Games
    Players participate in World Cup style games to build confidence, decision-making, and teamwork

What’s Included Each Month

Each player will receive:

  • Four 1-hour sessions (30 minute technical, 30 minutes small sided games)
  • Weekly focuses within the month’s topic
  • Professional City SC coaches
  • City SC Little Cityzens curriculum led sessions
  • City SC Little Cityzens T-Shirt (received at check in of session 1)
  • City SC Little Cityzens Certificate & End of Program Evaluation (presented to each player at the end of session 4)

Our Little Cityzens June session focuses on Passing & Receiving – helping players build confidence with the ball while teaching players how to share it, control it, and make simple decisions in fun, game-like environments.

Players will develop their ability to move with the ball, change direction, and express creativity – all essential foundations for long-term success in the game. Each session is designed to maximize touches on the ball while keeping activities fun, game-like, and age-appropriate.

What Players Will Learn:

Throughout the month of June, players will develop:

  • Proper passing technique using the inside of the foot
  • First touch and ball control
  • How to receive the ball and keep it close
  • Basic movement after passing
  • Introduction to simple teamwork concepts

Our Little Cityzens October session focuses on Attacking & Defending – helping understand how to beat an opponent when they have the ball—and how to stop them when they don’t. Through fun, game-based activities, players will begin to develop confidence in 1v1 situations while learning the basics of both sides of the game.

Players will develop their ability to move with the ball, change direction, and express creativity – all essential foundations for long-term success in the game. Each session is designed to maximize touches on the ball while keeping activities fun, game-like, and age-appropriate.

What Players Will Learn:

Throughout the month of October, players will focus on:

  • Basic 1v1 attacking skills (beating a defender)
  • Introduction to defending (staying between player and goal)
  • Awareness of when to attack vs defend
  • Winning the ball back
  • Quick transitions between offense and defense
  • Apply weekly focuses into small sided games every session

All activities are designed to be fun, engaging, and centered around maximum ball touches, ensuring every player stays active and involved.
