City SC has a long established tradition of developing elite level players and preparing them to compete at the highest levels in college and beyond. As a founding member of the MLS NEXT Boys Academy League, we offer players access to the best coaching, resources and competition in the US.
The MLS NEXT program offers national level exposure for players and a complete pathway to the college and professional ranks. Players work with professionally licensed and highly experienced coaches, all games are recorded and analyzed with footage available to players, curriculum includes weekly strength and conditioning in addition to training on the pitch and access to college recruitment services and college liaisons. Need based financial assistance is available to help cover program registration fees for players who qualify.
The MLS NEXT is a Nationally based league and requires out of State travel for both league games and showcases. Per league rules, MLS players are prohibited from participating in High School soccer.
Program Overview:
- MLS NEXT age groups are U13-U19
- Season runs from August – June
- Pre-season training camp in August
- Teams train 3-4 times per week through the duration of the season
- Teams train at Los Alamos Sports Park
- League play runs September-June
- Showcase and Playoff events held in December, May and June
- July- OFF
