Carlsbad, CA – November 22, 2024 – City Soccer Club (SC), the fastest growing youth Competitive Soccer club and renowned dedication to fostering a passion for soccer in communities nationwide, proudly announces the unification of Murrieta Soccer Academy (MSA), City SC Temecula, Lake Elsinore, and Menifee Valley (Temecula) under a new banner: City SC Southwest. This merger represents a significant step in bringing the Temecula Valley soccer community together under a shared vision of excellence and opportunity. The newly formed club is comprised of 130 competitive teams, making it one of the largest soccer organizations in California. In addition to the competitive teams, City SC Southwest will be home to over 4,000 players.

Steve Myles, Director of Soccer Operations for MSA, expressed his excitement about the partnership:
“This change is about creating more and better opportunities for all players in the valley. The new club are proud affiliates of the City Sports Group national program, dedicated to improving the youth soccer experience for players, families, coaches, and communities. About Murrieta Soccer Academy (MSA):
Murrieta Soccer Academy has established itself as one of Southern California’s premier soccer clubs, celebrated for its commitment to player development. The club has produced numerous professional players in recent years and competes in top-tier leagues, including MLS NEXT, Girls Academy, DPL, and EAL.

About City SC Temecula:
Founded as the first City SC affiliate in 2019, City SC Temecula has grown exponentially, now supporting 80 competitive teams and over 2,000 recreational players across the Temecula, Lake Elsinore, and Menifee communities. Competing in SoCal and DPL leagues, the club is renowned for its high-quality programming, professional coaching, and strong organizational leadership.

City SC Southwest will include approximately 130 competitive teams and more than 2,000 recreational players across the Temecula Valley, with training and game locations in Murrieta, Temecula, Lake Elsinore, and Menifee. The club will compete in SoCal, MLS NEXT, Girls Academy, DPL, and Elite Academy League, further solidifying its place as a leader in youth soccer.

Tryouts for the 2025-26 Season
